There are hundreds of places to visit in Dubai and I would not be doing justice to any place by not mentioning it here. Still I think you must take a start from somewhere.

It’s been a while since I was thinking to start writing and at last I got courage to do so. Here’s my first article where I will try to speak about top 5 places in Dubai you should visit and take photos. These places have been changed drastically in the last few months / years. If you think you have been to any of these places many times, give it 1 more visit and you will be surprised with the new developments.

Taking photos of Dubai city is my hobby since 2013 and have quite good memories till today to share with you all. Below you will see few images I took in the last 2 years featuring the famous locations in Dubai.

These are the top tourist places in Dubai. The weather in Dubai is very hot in summer season which starts cooling down at the end of October. The best time to visit Dubai and walk around these beautiful places is between November to March.

  1. Downtown Dubai

Though there’s many places & activities in Dubai that someone can spend a day or days easily exploring it but am listing here the top 5 locations only and Downtown Dubai is one of them.

The top most priority for anyone who’s visiting Dubai for the first time is to see the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world, and take a selfie in front of it : ) It’s located in Downtown Dubai. This place is so magical that you just can’t stop taking photographs of it either with a mobile or a DSLR camera.

  1. Dubai Marina

The Second place I would recommend is Dubai Marina. It’s an artificial canal city which is built along the Arabian Gulf. Dubai Marina is one of the best modern established community with a range of shopping malls & restaurants. This area is full of high-rise buildings.

You would love to spend your days & nights here if you love architecture /architectural photography. Princess Tower, the 2nd tallest residential tower is also located here including the twisted Cayan Tower.

The dramatic skyline of Dubai Marina with the yachts floating in the lake looks so impressive when lit up at night.

  1. Jumeirah Beach

Jumeirah beach is located on the coast of Arabian Gulf. Burj Al Arab, the sail shaped luxury hotel, is also located here on an artificial island very near to the coast. The hotel is connected to the main land through a bridge. This place promises to give you the beautiful sunsets with the view of Burj Al Arab. There’s many other nice nearby places you can visit which are very close to each other including Wild Wadi Water Park, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeirah.

  1. Dubai Water Canal

Dubai Water Canal is also an artificial canal which was inaugurated in November 2016. It’s a long walkway along with the cycle paths. This is one of the newest attraction in Dubai and people loving to spend time here with their family and friends.

You can see a mechanical waterfall exactly where the Sheikh Zayed Road bridge meets the water canal. The water is pumped through the bridge in a constant flow and switched off automatically when the sensor detects a boat approaching to cross under the bridge.

Dubai Water canal also feature 3 pedestrian bridges allowing people to cross the canal. The architecture of these pedestrian bridges is simply amazing and you will always find something new to photograph on your next visit to this place.

  1. JBR Beach

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is a popular tourist attraction in Dubai. It’s a waterfront residential community located in Dubai Marina.

Next to JBR towards West, you will find a beach called JBR beach. This is also located on the coast of Arabian Gulf and is one of the best beaches you will see in Dubai.

There’s also a man-made island opposite to Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) called Bluewaters Island. This island will feature the world’s tallest Ferris wheel (named as Dubai Eye) including hospitality, residential and entertainment zones. Dubai Eye will offer spectacular views of the Dubai city’s iconic landmarks, such as Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah.

Conclusion:

My list of “things to do in Dubai” never ends. My “Notes” list keep reminding me of places to visit. I try to take my Camera with me every day to the work. After I finish work and if time allows I try to visit places I have on my list.
