For the last 45,000 years, humans have gathered around art, from storytelling and music to cave paintings. And for the last 50 years, San Francisco’s art community has gathered in living rooms and garages across the City for San Francisco Open Studios, an annual, monthlong event in the fall in which hundreds of local artists invite the public behind the scenes.
